N196260 January 6, 2012 CLA-2-62:OT:RR:NC:N3:360 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6206.30.3011 Mr. Peter Salvato Import Commodity Group Ltd. 500 Merrick Road Lynbrook, NY 11563 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s blouse from China Dear Mr. Salvato: In your letter dated December 6, 2011, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, Tory Burch LLC. Your sample will be returned as requested. Style 12121111 is a woman’s short sleeve pullover blouse constructed of both knit and woven components. The back panel is constructed of 93% cotton, 6% nylon, and 1% spandex knit fabric. The front panel and the sleeves are constructed of 84% cotton, 8% acrylic, and 8% rayon woven fabric. The blouse features a boat neckline and a partial back opening with a zipper closure. The woven component imparts the essential character of the blouse. The applicable subheading for style 12121111 will be 6206.30.3011, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Women’s or girls’ blouses, shirts and shirt-blouses: Of cotton: Other: Other: Other: With two or more colors in the warp and/or the filling: Women’s. The rate of duty will be 15.4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
