Dear Mr. Tshiboyi: In your letter dated August 11, 2011, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, the sample will be returned to you. The submitted sample, Style S9320 is a girl’s knit shirt constructed from polyester pique knit fabric. The shirt features a stand-up collar, a partial frontal opening with a zipper closure, long sleeves with hemmed cuffs, a small printed logo on the left front, decorative contrasting color over-lock stitching and a hemmed bottom. The garment’s fabric measures more than 10 stitches per linear centimeter measured in both horizontal and vertical directions. The applicable subheading for Style S9320 will be 6106.20.2030, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for women’s or girls’ blouses and shirts, knitted or crocheted: of man-made fibers: other, girls’: other. The rate of duty will be 32 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
