N151716 March 30, 2011 CLA-2-61:OT:RR:NC:N3:361 CATEGORY: CLASSIFICATION TARIFF NO.: 6109.10.0060 Ms. Katie Carothers Hanesbrands, Inc. 1000 East Hanes Mill Road Winston-Salem, NC 27105 RE: The tariff classification of women’s tank top from Nicaragua Dear Ms. Carothers: In your letter dated March 2, 2011 you requested a classification ruling. The submitted sample, Style J379, is a woman’s tank top constructed from 100 percent cotton rib knit fabric. The sleeveless garment features a V-shaped neckline in front; a U-shaped neckline in back; lace shoulder straps that are less than two inches wide; lace trim around the neckline and armholes; and a bottom finished with lace trim. We are returning your sample as requested. The applicable subheading will be 6109.10.0060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for T-shirts, singlets, tank tops and similar garments, knitted or crocheted: Of cotton: Women’s: Tank tops: Women’s. The duty rate will be 16.5% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
