Jerozolimskie 224 Warsaw, Poland 02-495 RE: The tariff classification of a skid-mounted water pump and diesel engine from Poland Dear Mr. Robertson: In your letter dated June 8, 2010 you requested a tariff classification ruling. Descriptive literature and illustrations were submitted. The product you plan to import is described as a skid-mounted pump and diesel engine. This unit is intended for use on onshore and offshore oil platform installations. It is located between the oil platform water reservoir and the water delivery system and serves as the high-pressure water system needed to suppress fires. The unit is comprised of a single-stage, single-suction centrifugal type liquid pump that has a discharge outlet of 150 millimeters (15 centimeters) and a 6 cylinder, 222 HP turbocharged diesel engine mounted within a structural frame and attached to a skid. The applicable subheading for the skid-mounted water pump and diesel engine will be 8413.70.2025, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other centrifugal pumps, single-stage, single-suction, frame-mounted, with discharge outlet 7.6 centimeters or over in diameter. The rate of duty is free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
