The first product, Risedronate Sodium, is a pyridinyl bisphosphonate that inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption and modulates bone metabolism. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women The second product, Timolol Maleate, is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. It is indicated in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. The applicable subheading for the Risedronate Sodium, imported in bulk form will be 2933.39.4100, which provides for “Heterocyclic compounds with nitrogen hetero-atom(s) only: Compounds containing an unfused pyridine ring (whether or not hydrogenated) in the structure: Other: Other: Drugs: Other.” Pursuant to General Note 13, HTSUS, the rate of duty will be free. The applicable subheading for the Timolol Maleate, imported in bulk form will be 2934.99.4700 which provides for “Nucleic acids and their salts, whether or not chemically defined; other heterocyclic compounds: Other: Other: Other: Drugs.” Pursuant to General Note 13, HTSUS, the rate of duty will be free.
