Dear Ms. Reagan: In your electronic letter received November 18, 2009, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample, Style EZ 804, is an infant’s onesie style bodysuit. The one-piece garment is constructed of finely knit interlock fabric that is 60% cotton, 40% polyester. The garment features short tee shirt type sleeves; a rib knit neckline with two snap shoulder opening, and a snap crotch. The item will be imported in infant sizes 6 -24 months. The applicable subheading for Style EZ 804 will be 6111.20.6010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for babies’ garments and clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted, of cotton: other, other, sunsuits, washsuits and similar apparel. The rate of duty will be 8.1 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
