N066677 July 9, 2009 CLA-2-62:OT:RR:NC:WA:357 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6210.40.9025 Ms. DeeDee DeSmet Adidas Group 5055 N Greeley Ave. Portland, OR 97217 RE: The tariff classification of a men’s jacket from the Philippines Dear Ms. DeSmet: In your letter dated June 17, 2009, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample submitted, style number F9250218, “LF HF Shiny,” is a men’s hip-length jacket with a shell composed of a woven 100% cotton fabric that has a visible polyurethane synthetic resin coating on the outer surface. The coating does not completely obscure the underlying cotton fabric. The jacket has an integral hood with a drawcord tightening, a full front opening with a zipper closure, long sleeves with ribbed-knit fabric cuffs, two front pockets with zipper closures at the waist and a ribbed-knit fabric waistband. The Adidas trade name and logo are printed onto the left chest. The applicable subheading for the jacket will be 6210.40.9025, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Garment, made up of fabrics of heading 5602, 5603, 5903, 5906, or 5907: Other men’s or boys’ garments: Other: Other: Other: Anoraks (including ski-jackets), windbreakers and similar articles. The rate of duty will be 6.2 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
