Box 1136 St. Helens, OR 97051 RE: The tariff classification of a label holder from China Dear Ms. Weimer: In your letter dated May 28, 2009, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is a mattress hanging label with holder (Part# SER-LBLHLDR-HNG-FIRM). It is a five-sided banner-like item made of woven textile fabric; it measures approximately 6” x 8”. It is designed to be hung on the side of a mattress in a showroom; a plastic tubular attachment holds the label onto the edge of the mattress. The words “FIRMER side” are embroidered on both sides. The applicable subheading for mattress hanging label with holder will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. The sample will be returned as requested. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
