Co.11F/6, No.2, Jian-Ba Road, Chung-Ho Taipei, Taiwan RE: The tariff classification of style M-1464-01, Greek Scholar, from China Dear Ms. Lee: In your letter dated December 22, 2008, on behalf of Spencer Gifts, Inc., you requested a tariff classification ruling. Style M-1464-01, Greek Scholar, is a flimsy textile costume set that consists of a robe made of polyester and a headpiece, with the robe imparting the essential character. Although the robe has a styling feature and two well-made embellishments, it has a loose visible overlocked stitched neck and seams, a hook and loop tab closure and loose visible overlock stitched and/or raw edges at the arms, hem, closure and styling feature. The applicable subheading for style M-1464-01, Greek Scholar, will be 9505.90.6000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Festive, carnival or other entertainment articles, including magic tricks and practical joke articles; parts and accessories thereof: Other: Other." The rate of duty will be Free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
