N043704 November 18, 2008 CLA-2-62:RR:NC:TA:360 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6204.42.3050 Ms. Allison Wires Target Corporation 7000 Target Parkway Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s dress from Indonesia Dear Ms. Wires: In your letter dated November 3, 2008, you requested a classification ruling. Your sample will be returned as requested. Submitted sample, style 233089, DPCIs 269/09/0477-0486, is a woman’s dress composed of both knit and woven fabric. The bodice, which extends from the shoulders to the waist, is constructed from 100% cotton knit fabric and the lower portion is constructed from 100% cotton woven fabric. The pullover dress is sleeveless with shoulder straps of approximately one and half inches wide and features a scoop neckline, a double layered bodice, a small chest patch pocket on the left side and a drawstring bottom. The applicable subheading for the style 233089, DPCIs 269/09/0477-0486 will be 6204.42.3050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for women’s or girls’ suits, ensembles, suit-types jackets, blazers, dresses, skirts, divided skirts, trousers, bib and brace overalls, breeches and shorts (other than swimwear): dresses: of cotton: other: other: other: other: women’s. The duty rate will be 8.4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
