Hartill Capital Transportation 150-16 132 Avenue 2nd Floor Jamaica, NY 11434 RE: The tariff classification of a shaver set from China. Dear Mr. Hartill: In your letter dated September 23, 2008, on behalf of Ideavillage Products Corp., you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample which you submitted is being retained by this office. A sample and description have been submitted for the Micro Force Shaver Set, style number MF-24. The shaver set consists of a battery powered electric shaver, extra shaving foil, cleaning brush, finger nail clipper, shoe horn, pocket knife/scissor, lint remover, pocket comb, tweezers, nail file and toe nail clipper. These items will be packaged and sold with a zippered vinyl case measuring 6 inches by 5 inches and an AC adaptor. The case has been specially designed to hold these items for storage while traveling. The applicable subheading for the shaver set will be 9605.00.0000 , Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “travel sets for personal toilet, sewing or shoe or clothes cleaning (other than manicure and pedicure sets of heading 8214)”. The rate of duty will be 8.1% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
