Box 1199 Williston, VT 05495 RE: The tariff classification of a storage system from China Dear Ms. Ramsey: In your letter dated July15, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is identified as the “Under the Entire Bed Storage System” (26620/Set of 3 Twin). You indicate that the system is also available as: “26622/Set of 3 Full,” “26624/Set of 6 Queen,” and “26626/Set of 6 King.” Your product literature indicates that the system is used to store out-of-season clothing, extra towels, sheets, etc., in bags that fit under a bed. The set before us, 26620, consists of three rectangular woven textile fabric bags. Each bag has a top made of clear plastic sheeting. The top zips 3/4 of the way around to facilitate the addition or removal of items. The applicable subheading for the storage bags will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
