N031097 June 18, 2008 CLA-2-63:OT:RR:NC:N3:351 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6307.90.9889 Alberto Aramayo 3830 Lyons Road Apt. 311 Coconut Creek, FL 33073 RE: The tariff classification of a mesh cover from Peru Dear Mr. Aramayo: In your undated letter that was received in this office on June 17, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is identified as a mesh cover. You state that it is intended to be used for agriculture, construction, transportation (to keep debris from flying out of dump and flatbed trucks), etc. The sample measures approximately 20” x 21” but you indicate that the mesh covers will be imported in sizes ranging from 12’ x 47’ to 13’5” x 300’ and in various colors. It is constructed of 100% high resistance nylon open-work knit fabric with a border of webbed textile fabric that is approximately 2” in width. The border features eight evenly spaced brass grommets. The applicable subheading for the mesh cover will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile items, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
