Cannata Alto Customhouse Brokers, Inc. 145-03 156 Street Jamaica, New York 11434 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s blouse from China Dear Mr. Cannata: In your letter dated June 2, 2008, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of Marconi International (USA) Co. Ltd. Your sample will be returned. Submitted sample, style #386427, is a woman’s blouse composed of two different types of woven fabric. One fabric is constructed from 54% cotton and 46% silk and the other is a lace-like fabric constructed from 67% cotton and 33% nylon. The blouse features a collar, ¾ length sleeves, a peplum-like bottom and a full front opening secured by eight buttons and loops closure. The applicable subheading for the style 386427 will be 6206.30.3041, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for women’s or girls’ blouses, shirts and shirt-blouses: of cotton: other: other: other: other: women’s. The duty rate will be 15.4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
