N028703 May 29, 2008 CLA-2-29:OT:RR:NC:2:238 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 2933.39.4100 Ms. Robyn Addabbo Interchem Corporation 120 Route 17 North Box 1579 Paramus, NJ 07652-1579 RE: The tariff classification of Disopyramide Phosphate (CAS-22059-60-5), imported in bulk form, from Finland Dear Ms. Addabbo: In your letter dated May 2, 2008 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The subject product, Disopyramide Phosphate, is a cardiac depressant medication. It is a class Ia antiarrhythmic used in the treatment of ventricular tachycardia. The applicable subheading for the Disopyramide Phosphate will be 2933.39.4100, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Heterocyclic compounds with nitrogen hetero-atom(s) only: Compounds containing an unfused pyridine ring (whether or not hydrogenated) in the structure: Other: Other: Drugs: Other." Pursuant to General Note 13, HTS, the rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
