N020774 December 17, 2007 CLA-2-61:OT:RR:NC:TA:361 CATEGORY: CLASSIFICATION TARIFF NO.: 6109.10.0060 Mr. Fernando Ramos Avon Products Inc. 1251 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10020-1196 RE: The tariff classification of women’s knit tank top from Macau Dear Mr. Ramos: In your letter dated November 29, 2007 you requested a classification ruling. Style PP 1059632 is a woman’s tank top constructed from 100 percent cotton knit fabric. The garment is sleeveless, extends below the waistline and has a front panel that is decorated with 3/16 inch sequins. The tank top features a scoop neckline in front and back that falls below the nape of the neck, shoulder straps measuring approximately 1¼ inch in width at the shoulder seams, a hemmed bottom and capping finishing the neckline and armholes. We are returning your sample as requested. The applicable subheading for style PP 1059632 will be 6109.10.0060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for T-shirts, singlets, tank tops and similar garments, knitted or crocheted: Of cotton: Women’s: Tank tops: Women’s. The duty rate will be 16.5% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
