Dear Ms. Root: In your letter dated October 23, 2007, on behalf of Sugartown Worldwide, Inc., you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, the samples will be returned to you. Style 67459G consists of two girls’ short sleeve pullovers, product names Lily Girl and Girl with Umbrella. Both garments are made of finely knit cotton fabric and feature round necklines with contrast color fabric capping, hemmed sleeves with contrast color fabric capping, hemmed bottoms and front panel appliqué work and embroidery depicting Lily Girl and Girl with Umbrella. The submitted style is a girl’s size 5. The applicable subheading for Style 67459G will be 6110.20.2079, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTSUS), which provides for sweaters, pullovers and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of cotton, other, other, women’s or girls’: other. The duty rate will be 16.5% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. Girls’ cotton knit pullovers fall within textile category designation 339. Quota and visa status are the result of international agreements that are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes.
