Oak Brook, IL 60523 RE: The tariff classification of webbed belts and a harness from Taiwan or China Dear Ms. Darrow: In your letter dated Oct. 23, 2007, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Rubbermaid Commercial Products, a division of Newell Rubbermaid Inc. The samples which you submitted are being returned as requested. You submitted three webbed belts and a webbed harness. All of them will be imported separately from the items on which they will be used. Item 50780600 is a waist restraint made of polypropylene. It will be used on the Rubbermaid Sturdy Chair™, a baby’s highchair. It is one inch wide and its length is adjustable to 22”. It has a plastic buckle. Item 11781800 is a nylon safety strap used on the Rubbermaid Safety Station™. It is one inch wide and its length is adjustable to 24”. It has a plastic buckle. Item 549T5700 is a nylon strap used on the Ladder Cart. A photo shows that this cart is a hand truck to carry a ladder and other items; the strap secures them in place. It is one inch wide and its length is adjustable to 76”. It has a plastic buckle. Item A3164000 is a nylon harness is an accessory to the Rubbermaid water cooler. It is 1¼” wide. It has a plastic buckle. The applicable subheading for the webbed straps and harness will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other.
