The first product, Quinapril Hydrochloride Tablets, is a medicinal preparation containing Quinapril Hydrochloride, an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used in the treatment of hypertension, as the active ingredient. The second product, Oxazepam Tablets, is a medicinal preparation containing Oxazepam, a sedative drug used in the treatment of certain anxiety disorders, as the active ingredient. The applicable subheading for the Quinapril Hydrochloride Tablets will be 3004.90.9120, which provides for “Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Cardiovascular medicaments.” The rate of duty will be free. The applicable subheading for the Oxazepam Tablets will be 3004.90.9130, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Medicaments primarily affecting the central nervous system: Anticonvulsants, hypnotics and sedatives.” The rate of duty will be free.
