N004598 December 22, 2006 CLA-2-62:RR:NC:TA:360 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6211.42.0054 Ms. Allison Legg Columbia Sportswear Company 14375 NW Science Park Drive Portland, OR 97229 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s blouse from Sri Lanka Dear Ms. Legg: In your letter dated December 12, 2006, you requested a classification ruling. The submitted sample will be returned to you as requested. Style AL 1026 is a woman’s blouse constructed from woven fabric that is 99 percent cotton and 1 percent elastane. The sleeveless blouse features a collar, two chest pockets with buttoned flaps, two pockets below the waist and a banded bottom. The applicable subheading for style AL 1026 will be 6211.42.0054, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for track suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments: other garments, women’s or girls’: of cotton: blouses, shirts and shirt-blouses, sleeveless tank styles and similar upper body garments excluded from heading 6206: with two or more colors in the warp and/or the filling. The duty rate will be 8.1 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. With the exception of certain products of China, quota/visa requirements are no longer applicable for merchandise which is the product of World Trade Organization (WTO) member countries.
