NY M84820 July 26, 2006 CLA-2-42:RR:NC:3:341 M84820 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 4202.92.3031 Ms. Lynden Davis Exel Global Logistics Inc. 230-39 International Airport Center Blvd. Suite 1000 Jamaica, NY 11413 RE: The tariff classification of travel pouch from Turkey Dear Ms. Davis: In your ruling request dated June 24, 2006, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of Aquaskinz Corporation of Lindenhurst, New York. The subject article is identified as a “large pouch.” It is essentially a waist bag wholly made-up of 100% nylon textile material. The bag is approximately 10” wide by 8” high and is worn around the waist. The bag features two belt loops on the back, one main compartment with a zippered closure at the top, and two front pockets. The applicable subheading for the “large pouch” will be 4202.92.3031, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides, in part, for travel, sport and similar bags, of textile materials, with outer surface of textile materials, of man-made fibers. The duty rate will be 17.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. Goods classified in tariff number 4202.92.3031 fall within textile category designation 670.
