Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19112-1404 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s vest from China Dear Mr. Hoffacker: In your letter dated June 23, 2006, on behalf of Revue LLC, 512 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10018, you requested a classification ruling. Your sample is being returned as requested. The submitted sample, style number 649984S, is a woman’s sleeveless vest that is constructed from 100% boiled wool, knit fabric. The vest features a Mongolian lamb fur trim shawl collar that extends to the waist and finishes the bottom, a V-neckline, oversized armholes, and 4 hook and eye closures. Eyelets adorn the shoulders and the front and back panels. The applicable subheading for the vest will be 6110.11.0060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for vests, knitted: of wool or fine animal hair: of wool: vests, other than sweater vests: women’s . The duty rate will be 16% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
