Chivini Austin Chemical Company, Inc. 1565 Barclay Boulevard Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 RE: The tariff classification of Daunorubicin Hydrochloride (CAS-23541-50-6), imported in bulk form, from the United Kingdom Dear Mr. Chivini: In your letter dated June 14, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The subject product, Daunorubicin Hydrochloride, is the hydrochloride salt of Daunorubicin, an anthracycline antibiotic isolated from the fermentation broths of Streptomyces peucetius. It is indicated for use as an antineoplastic drug. The applicable subheading for Daunorubicin Hydrochloride, imported in bulk form, will be 2941.90.3000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Antibiotics: Other: Other: Aromatic or modified aromatic.” The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
