Dear Ms. Helm: In your letter dated May 22, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, your sample will be returned. Style G2079 is a men’s cardigan cut and sewn from 80% cotton, 20% polyester, finely knit fabric that is napped on the inside surface. The garment features a self-fabric stand-up collar; a full front opening with a zippered closure; long, hemmed sleeves; a woven fabric label on the left sleeve; zippered pouch pockets below the waist; and a loose fitting, hemmed bottom. The applicable subheading for Style G2079 will be 6110.20.2069, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTSUS), which provides for: sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of cotton: other: other: other: men's or boys': other. The duty rate is 16.5% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
