Hartill Capital Transportation Customs Clearance Services, Inc. 167-18 146th Avenue Jamaica, NY 11434 RE: The tariff classification of a pullover for ladies’ wear from China Dear Mr. Hartill: In your letter dated April 25, 2006, written on behalf of Ballet Makers, Inc., you requested a classification ruling. Submitted style ARABESQ, manufactured from light-weight, knitted fabric of 100% acrylic, is a long-sleeved garment, fashioned by a deeply cut v-neckline at the front and at the back. All of the components of this garment are knit to shape and assembled by linking and looping. The applicable subheading for this style will be 6110.30.3057, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for …pullovers…knitted…of man-made fibers, other, other, other, other, other, women’s…, knit to shape articles described in statistical note 6 to this chapter. The duty rate will be 32 per cent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
