NY M81052 March 21, 2006 CLA-2-61:RR:NC:N3:359 M81052 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6110.30.3057 Ms. Melissa Fox Barthco Trade Consultants 5101 South Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19112-1404 RE: The tariff classification of a pullover from China Dear Ms. Fox: In your letter dated March 8, 2006, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of Jones Apparel Group. A sample identified as style VFPA63478 was submitted, along with its component parts. The garment is a sleeveless scoop neck pullover, made of 58% rayon and 42% nylon knit fabric. The outer surface of the garment measures more than 9 but equal to or less than 18 stitches per 2 centimeters in the direction in which the stitches were formed. The component pieces meet the knit to shape requirements of statistical note 6 to chapter 61, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTSUS). The applicable subheading for style VFPA63478 will be 6110.30.3057, HTSUS, which provides for sweaters, pullovers…and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: Of man-made fibers: Other: Other: Other: Other: Other: Women’s or girls’: Knit to shape articles described in statistical note 6 to this chapter. The duty rate will be 32% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
