A3-369B Hoffman Estates, IL 60179 RE: The tariff classification of men’s woven shorts from Cambodia. Dear Mr. Walton: In your letter dated January 25, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, your sample will be returned. Style MISS06-2320 is a pair of men’s shorts constructed from 100% polyester, woven fabric with a knit mesh liner. The shorts fall above the knee and feature a partially elasticized waistband; a fly front opening with a hook and loop closure; a laced closure at the front waistband; a right rear patch pocket with a hook and loop closure and grommets for drainage; an inner key pocket; and hemmed leg openings. The applicable subheading for Style MISS06-2320 will be 6203.43.4030, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for men’s or boys’ … shorts (other than swimwear): of synthetic fibers: other: other: other: other: shorts: men’s. The rate of duty is 27.9% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
