Whitley The Millwork Trading Co., Ltd. 1359 Broadway New York, NY 10018 RE: The tariff classification of a tank top for girls’ wear from Vietnam Dear Ms. Whitley: In your letter dated February 2, 2006 you requested a classification ruling. Submitted style 860370, manufactured from finely knitted fabric of 60% cotton/40% rayon and ornamented by sequins, is a straightly fitted, v-necked, spaghetti-strapped, sleeveless garment, falling below the nape of the neck. As you have requested, the sample garment is being returned. The applicable subheading for this style will be 6109.10.0065, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for …tank tops and similar garments, knitted…, of cotton, …girls’, other, tank tops, girls’. The duty rate will be 16.5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
