Stack Tompkins & Davidson, LLP One Astor Plaza 1515 Broadway New York, NY 10036-8901 RE: The tariff classification of a woman’s camisole garment from El Salvador Dear Mr. Stack: In your letter dated July 27, 2005, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Item Eyes, Inc. The submitted sample will be returned to you as requested. Style 65106T is a woman’s camisole constructed from 97 percent polyester and 3 percent spandex woven fabric. The garment features A V-neckline with triple lace edging, three spaghetti straps over each shoulder and tuck on the center front panel. The top back edge is elasticized and is cut straight across from side seam to side seam. The applicable subheading for the camisole will be 6211.43.0091, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for track suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments: other garments, women’s or girls’: of man-made fibers: other. The duty rate will be 16 percent ad valorem. Style 65106T falls within textile category designation 659.
