NY I86501 October 10, 2002 CLA-2:RR:NC:2:226 NY I86501 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 7013.99.50 Ms. Lee Suabedissen Supremia USA Princeton Corporate Plaza Suite 200 11 Deer Park Drive Monmouth Jct., NJ 08852 RE: The tariff classification of a glass box with an aluminum lid from India Dear Ms. Suabedissen: In your letter dated September 12, 2002 you requested a tariff classification ruling regarding a glass box with an aluminum lid. A picture of the box was submitted with your ruling request. In you letter you indicated that the base of the box is oval shaped. You stated that the product is six inches in length, four inches in width and three inches in height. In a telephone conversation you indicated that the unit value of this item is below three dollars. The applicable subheading for the glass box with aluminum lid will be 7013.99.50 which provides for glassware of a kind used for table, kitchen, toilet, office, indoor decoration and similar purposes...other glassware: other: other: other: valued over thirty cents but not over three dollars each. The rate of duty will be 30 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
