Hoffacker Barthco Trade Consultants 7575 Holstein Ave. Philadelphia PA 19153 RE: The tariff classification of Vinyl Play Outfits with Hats from China Dear Mr. Hoffacker: In your letter dated June 20, 2001 you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client Big Lots Stores. Item 9555 is an assortment of three vinyl outfits. Each outfit is a jacket with its appropriate hat. The professions are fireman, policeman and racecar driver. The vinyl jackets and hats have heat sealed seams and are screen printed with appropriate marking to indicate the professions. The sample is returned as requested. The applicable subheading for Item 9555, an assortment of Vinyl Play Outfits with Hats will be 9505.90.6000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Festive, carnival or other entertainment articles, …: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be free. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
