Coppersmith Inc. 2041 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 300 Santa Ana, CA 92705 RE: The tariff classification of an infant changing pad from China. Dear Mr. Ho: In your letter dated May 24, 2000, on behalf of Small Fry Designs Inc., Santa Ana, California, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample is being returned as requested. The sample submitted is an infant changing pad, style number 36100. It is constructed of two textile fabric panels. One panel is made of woven textile fabric. The other is constructed of fleece textile fabric. Between the panels is polyester fiber filling. The two panels are sewn together on all sides. Attached onto one corner is a textile stuffed head which resembles a duck. The applicable subheading for the infant changing pad will be 6307.90.9989, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other made up articles . . . Other. The rate of duty will be 7 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
