Dear Ms. Atkinson: In your letter dated May 17, 2000, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted catalogue depicts Item 520808, a stainless steel wine bucket with stand, which is used in the food service industry to chill wine or champagne. The item is imported and sold as a set or as separate components as replacement parts. The components are Item 520818, stainless steel wine bucket, and Item 520828, stainless steel wine bucket stand. The applicable subheading for the wine bucket with stand, and for the stand if imported alone, will be 9403.20.0030, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other furniture and parts thereof: other metal furniture, other: other. The rate of duty will be free. The applicable subheading for the wine bucket, if imported alone, will be 7323.93.0080, HTS, which provides for table, kitchen or other household articles, of iron or steel, other, of stainless steel, other. The rate of duty will be 2% ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
