SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: In this final rule, PHMSA is making certain editorial corrections and non-substantive changes to the safety-related condition reporting requirements in 49 CFR 195.56 . Specifically, § 195.56(a) gives operators the option to file a safety-related condition report by email or by facsimile. PHMSA no longer allows operators to file a safety-related condition report by facsimile. PHMSA is therefore revising § 195.56(a) to remove all references to filing a safety-related condition report by facsimile. Safety-related condition reports must be filed by email to InformationResourcesManager@dot.gov .
