Abstract

In response to requests from SGL Carbon LLC and Superior Graphite Co. ("Petitioners"), Petitioners in the original investigation, the Department of Commerce ("Department") is initiating an anti-circumvention inquiry pursuant to section 781(b) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended ("the Act"), to determine whether certain merchandise from the United Kingdom ("U.K.") is being exported to the United States by U.K. Carbon and Graphite Co., Ltd. ("UKCG") in circumvention of the antidumping duty order on small diameter graphite electrodes ("SDGE") from the People's Republic of China ("PRC").\1\ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
