Dear Ms. Cumins: In your letter dated March 29, 2004, on behalf of East West Basics, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The jewelry organizers, models WW1048D and WW10481, are made of solid wood and fiber board. They measure 18½” x 13” x 42½”, contain 8 pull out drawers and are designed to stand on the floor. The applicable subheading for the wooden jewelry organizer will be 9403.50.9080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for “Other furniture and parts thereof: Wooden furniture of a kind used in the bedroom: Other: Other, Other.” The rate of duty will be free.
