Dear Ms. Bonace: In your letter dated December 11, 1995, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You have submitted samples of four plastic picture frames, Blair product #758501. The frames are made of plastic and are in four different sizes. You state that the frames are composed of 100% poly styrene plastic and do not contain any mineral substance. Your samples are being returned as you requested. The applicable subheading for plastic picture frames will be 3924.90.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for tablewear, kitchenwear, other household articles and toilet articles, of plastics, other, picture frames. The rate of duty will be 3.4 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
